Celtic Colours
The Celtic Colours International Festival is held all over Cape Breton. It is annual event scheduled to start in October on the Friday of each Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. Events may feature Local Food, Community Meals, Farmer’s Market, Learning, Outdoor, Gaelic Language, Participatory and Visual Arts experiences.
St. Peter’s is proud to host one of the featured events and is also ideally situated as a hub to visit other featured events and community related events all within a short 35 minute drive. St Peter’s Concert by the Canal
The Village on the Canal Association (VOCA) is again pleased to be presenting the Concert by the Canal at the St. Peter’s Lions Hall. The concert typically offers an exciting mix of tradition and inspiration with tunes on fiddle and guitar, songs from the Irish tradition, and step dancers from just down the road!

St. Peter’s Jam Sessions and Workshops
Kitchen Rackets is hosting a wonderful array of jam sessions and workshops in association with Celtic Colours!
Afternoon Jam Sessions are free! Visiting players, singers, dancers are invited to sit in with local players and make some music. Listeners welcome. Young players welcome.
Workshops are provided at a small fee and feature faculty that you’ll find also performing at concerts across the Island.
