Celtic Colours
The Celtic Colours International Festival is held all over Cape Breton. It is annual event scheduled to start in October on the Friday of each Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. Events may feature Local Food, Community Meals, Farmer’s Market, Learning, Outdoor, Gaelic Language, Participatory and Visual Arts experiences.
St. Peter’s is proud to host one of the featured events and is also ideally situated as a hub to visit other featured events and community related events all within a short 35 minute drive. Why not put a multiple day itinerary together that allows you to enjoy the many in and around St. Peter’s. Please see the links below to start your planning.
St Peter’s Concert by the Canal
The Village on the Canal Association (VOCA) is again pleased to be presenting the Concert by the Canal for Wednesday, October 12, 7:30 PM at the St. Peter’s Lions Hall. The concert typically offers an exciting mix of tradition and inspiration with tunes on fiddle and guitar, songs from the Irish tradition, and step dancers from just down the road!

St. Peter’s Jam Sessions
Kitchen Rackets typically hosts Jam Sessions at the Bras d’Or Lakes Inn. Drop by in the late evening and enjoy the music. Or bring your own instrument and jump in feet first.
Visiting players, singers, dancers are invited to sit in with local players and make some music. Listeners welcome. Young players welcome.
No admission fee, but we will have a Good Will jar if you care to donate to our future public and youth music programs.
