Celtic Colours Events in St. Peter’s Region

The Celtic Colours International Festival is held annually in October begining on the Friday of each Canadian Thanksgiving weekend and presents many events all over Cape Breton. They include Local Food, Community Meals, Farmer’s Market, Learning, Outdoor, Gaelic Language, Participatory and Visual Arts experiences. This year the entire Festival runs from Friday October 6 to Saturday October 14, 2017.

Concert by the Canal 

The Village on the Canal Association (VOCA) is again pleased to be  hosting the Concert by the Canal on Wednesday, October 11, 7:30 PM at the St. Peter’s Lions Hall with performers Alison Brown, The Alt, Scott Macmillan, Colin Grant and The Island Steppers. The concert offers an exciting mix of tradition and inspiration with tunes on fiddle and guitar, some uncommon banjo playing, songs from the Irish tradition, and step dancers from just down the road!

Jam Sessions

Kitchen Rackets will be hosting Jam Sessions at the Bras d’Or Lakes Inn, Monday thru Thursday 10:30 PM to 1:00 AM. $5 for listeners; free for players. Drop by after the concerts and enjoy the music. Or bring your own instrument and jump in feet first.
